Where
did you go to School?
A one-room country school near
our farm for grades 1-6, then
New Ulm Jr. High and New Ulm HS,
and finally, Winona State
University where I
received a bachelor’s degree in
Business Education.
What extra-curricular
activities were you involved in?
Track, Softball, Office
Education Association, Future
Homemakers of America (Does that
age me or what?)
What was your first paying
job?
Other than babysitting and
pulling weeds, it was working at
a bank when I was a senior in
high school. I believe I earned
$2.30 per hour. |

What is your favorite childhood memory?
Waking up Christmas mornings at about 5:00 a.m.,
turning the tree lights on, and waiting for Mom
and Dad to get up.
What games did you play when you were
younger?
Monopoly, Risk, and lots of made-up outdoor
games with my brother, my sisters, and my
cousins.
What is your favorite song?
I like most kinds of music, but I don’t really
have a favorite song. Right now (it’s the middle
of a snowstorm), I’m thinking I really like
Sheryl
Crow’s “Soak up the Sun”.
What song brings back a good memory and why?
Wipe Out, because all of my friends and I had
that song played at our wedding dances. I won’t
explain further.
What habit do you admire most about yourself
or others?
I really admire people who devote a lot of their
time and energy into helping others.
Who has done something nice for you recently
that you'd like to thank publicly?
My Mom, who is always sending little cards and
notes to let me know that she is thinking about
me.
What talent do you wish you had?
I wish I had musical talent.
If a stranger walked into your home, what
might he/she regard as unusual?
We have a LOT of musical equipment (enough for a
whole band plus more) in our basement. It
belongs to my husband and son.
Tell us something about you that many don't
know.
I am a former sky-diver. (I did it 2 times).
What is something you fear?
Snakes
What is your most treasured possession?
Even though they really aren’t my “possessions”,
my children, husband, and family are the most
treasured things in the world to me.
Name something you've done once that you
can't wait to do again.
Lose 30 pounds!
What do you do in your spare time for fun?
Read, Garden, Ride Bike, Book Club, Neighborhood
Texas Hold ’Em Poker Club, Girls night out with
my friends, out to eat with my family.
Where did you go on your last vacation?
Tampa, Florida
What is your favorite cuisine?
Southwestern
How long have you been in the office products
industry?
17 years.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I like the fact that I get to work with everyone
at IOS as well as customers. I also like having
variety, and knowing that what I do today will
never be exactly the same as what I did
yesterday. |
