Where did you go to School?
North High- MPLS
What
extra-curricular activities were
you involved in?
Football
What was
your first paying job? Dishwasher at Perkins.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
Playing Army
What
games did you play when you were younger?
I played the board game Risk for
hours and hours by myself.
What
is your favorite song? Ain’t that a
kick in the head by Dean Martin.
What song brings back a good memory and why?
“Ballad of the Green Beret”. My
father (Whom I idolized) was a Green Beret and
he would blast the song every Saturday morning
to get us out of bed.
Can you
recall a funny incident or comment about your
children, nieces, nephews or siblings? My brother Derrick and I went to pick up a
pizza from Pizza hut. When we got home we
realized that neither one of us had the pizza.
It turned out that one of us(I say him) left the
pizza on top of the car. We retraced our drive
and saw the pizza in the middle of Lowry Ave
still “halfway” in the box. We packed it up,
took it home, and ate it. My favorite memory
with my son is how worried he was to tell me
that his favorite football team was not the
Cowboys, it was the Chiefs. He said he liked the
color of their uniform!
What
habit do you admire most about yourself or
others? I admire a sense of humor
more than anything. I try to surround myself
with very funny and sarcastic people. I am a
firm believer that work can be fun.
Who has done something nice for you
recently that you'd like to thank publicly?
I am very grateful to the girls in
customer service for bringing me back food at
lunch! I don’t always get away from the building
to eat and having someone ask if they can bring
something back for me is wonderful. Thank
goodness that Sue doesn’t have a huge appetite.
She gives me the other halves of her sandwiches!
What talent do you wish you had?
Singing. My favorite music is from
the crooners like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
I’m sure all of the people that hear me sing
around the office wish I could actually sing
too. I do have to say that I sound great in the
shower though.
If a stranger
walked into your home, what might he/she regard
as unusual? My museum of Dallas
Cowboys memorabilia. My wife is very jealous of
my obsession with a football team.
What is something that may people don’t
know about you? I was a Ranger in
the Army. I spent four years jumping out of
airplanes, and repelling out of helicopters.
What is your biggest fear? That for health reasons, I wouldn’t be able
to see my three children grow up.
What is your most treasured possession?
My autographed Tony Dorsett Dallas
cowboy helmet. If my house caught on fire, I
would grab this first, and then come back for my
wife.
Name something you've done
once that you can't wait to do again. I went to a Cowboys game in Dallas!
What do you do in your spare time for
fun? Change diapers and watch
Sponge Bob. That’s it!
Where did
you go on your last vacation?
Hayward Wisconsin. Sometimes I get crazy.
What is your favorite cuisine?
Any kind of spaghetti. I could eat
it every single day.
How long
have you been in the office products industry?
About 15 years.
What
is your favorite part of your job?
Interacting with customers. I like to follow
jobs from start to finish until they are
satisfied.
What is the most
unusual request you’ve had or thing you’ve had
to do for a customer? I had to
break a leg on a table that I fixed for a
customer, because they were told that their
union didn’t allow anyone else to work on their
furniture.
