Announcing 2016 Double Plays for Charity Recipients

The Twin’s season is now underway and Innovative would like to formally announce our Twins Double Plays for Charity Recipients for 2016! This is an excellent initiative raising money for charities here in Minnesota. During the regular MLB season, each time the Twins complete a Double Play, Innovative donates $100 to a local charity.  This season’s recipients are Matter and Starkey Hearing Foundation, two well deserving organizations.

Matter is a nonprofit on a mission to expand access to health, next door and around the world. Since 2000, Matter has repurposed valuable goods and distributed material resources to organizations serving those living in scarcity. They collect medical equipment and send to 3rd world countries as well as develop health initiatives here in Minnesota. Matter believes they have the power to solve some of the world’s greatest challenges right in their own two hands. One of the biggest challenges we face today is the lack of access to health. All humankind, regardless of race, income, religion, or sex, can have the same access to a full and healthy life. It is only then that we can create a world where we all matter. Starkey’s mission, “So the World May Hear,” is about bringing understanding between people through caring and sharing. They believe caring develops trust and by sharing we find our humanity. By growing engagement in this cause they can increase tolerance and respect for life. Starkey uses hearing as a vehicle to change lives around the world. To this date they have provided more than 1.8 million hearing aids and have reached over 100 countries to provide care to people in need.
