Girl Scouts | Minnesota Wild Charity of the Month

Innovative Office Solutions is the proud sponsor of the Charity of the Month program in partnership with the Minnesota Wild. The program brings exposure to a different Minnesota Charity each month throughout the NHL season.  The Minnesota Wild Charity of the Month for March 2016 is Girl Scouts.

Girl Scouts is an all-girl organization that helps girls develop life skills, build relationships, and grow as leaders, Girl Scouts River Valleys serves 32,000 girls annually through a 49-county region that spans Minnesota (44), Wisconsin (4), and Iowa (1). River Valleys is committed to providing an inclusive, supportive environment in which every girl can embrace who she is and explore who she can become.

Our goals are to help girls:
  • Discover themselves and their values while learning practical life skills,
  • Connect and build positive relationships with others, and
  • Take Action to create a positive future for themselves and their communities.

As Girl Scouts, girls in grades K-12 enjoy a safe environment within a supportive network where they can feel confident while learning and exploring. Through accessible programming, they build life skills across a variety of focus areas. In Girl Scouts, girls learn how to: apply science and math skills; be good citizens; live healthy and creative lives; handle money and plan for the future; be kind to nature; and be good leaders. We offer a flexible participation model to accommodate girls’ differing interests and needs so that as many girls as possible can benefit from our meaningful leadership experiences. This model includes traditional Girl Scout troops, as well as outdoor experiences, travel, experiential learning events, subject-focused series, and special initiatives designed to reach girls in diverse and low-income communities.

Helping Girls Build A Bright Tomorrow

Girl Scouts River Valleys believes that all girls should have the opportunity to create a bright future. We invest in girls because we know that they have the potential to change our community, our region, and the world. We give girls a safe and supportive space to explore possibility—the chance to grow into confident leaders, capable employees, and involved citizens. Through Girl Scouts, every girl has the chance to reach her highest potential. Whether she grows up to become an engineer, a doctor, or the president of the local PTA, We know that in Girl Scouting, she has built a foundation for leadership that will serve her all her life.
